Winter can feel like such a long season when there’s a lot of snow and ice on the ground. From time to time, the temperature will creep into the 40s or 50s. Here are a few things you can do to take advantage of this January thaw.
Around the House
There’s plenty to do, both inside and outside the house:
- Open a window to air out the house
- Clean your windows
- Vacuum your car
- Add washer fluid to your car
- Take down outdoor Christmas decorations that were frozen in ground
- Clean up backyard after your pooch
- Bring items to shed (outdoor gifts received for holidays)
Running Errands
Some things are just easier to handle without snow and ice on the ground. Consider running these errands on a mild winter day:
- Go shopping at a warehouse store to stock up on bulk items
- Buy dog food, which can be heavy and difficult to manage in bad weather
- Return bottles and cans to your local redemption center
Last but not least, take some time to enjoy the day. Whether it’s taking a walk outside, or going for a ride in the car, enjoy the mild weather. The snow will be back soon. 🙂
