RunningAHousehold.com is a website comprised of various web pages managed by Running A Household, LLC (“We,” “Us,” or “Running A Household”)

About Us

RunningAHousehold.com is a website where you can get ideas and tools for running a successful household. Blog posts include tips on money, meals and maintenance. There’s also a Tool Box with checklists, forms and schedules to help you get your house in order. Whether you’re moving into your first place or just trying to bring order to your current home, we hope you find these resources helpful.

 

Children Under the Age of 13

RunningAHousehold.com is not intended for use by children under the age of 13.  We do not knowingly seek or collect any personal information directly from children under the age of 13.  If you are under the age of 13, please do not use this site or provide us with any personal information.  If Running A Household becomes aware that we have unknowingly collected any personal data directly from a child under the age of 13, we will delete this data from our system.

Information Collection: What information do we collect from you and how long do we keep it?

Personal Information

Email: We use MailChimp email services to manage our email list.  Through this service, we collect your email address, name, location city, state and country.  We also track the date you subscribed to our email list.  Please know that you can unsubscribe at any time.  Your e-mail address will not be sold or given away.

We use your email address to send you our communication piece called Priorities.  This piece contains:

  • Reminders for what needs to be done around your home
  • Links to our household and time management articles
  • Free printables and checklists
  • Announcements for new products
  • Discount shopping codes

Email information is kept until you choose to unsubscribe from our list.  From time to time, we will perform “spring cleaning” and remove individuals who have not opened our emails.  Lastly, if you are a resident of the European Union, you may contact us to request your information or to request complete removal of your information.

 

Payment Information: When you make a purchase from Running A Household we collect your name, billing and shipping address.  We also collect information about the products you purchased, amount paid and sales tax information.  However, we use third party services, such as Etsy and PayPal, to collect your credit card information and these services maintain their own privacy policies and terms of services.

Payment information is kept for tax purposes.  It is retained for a minimum if seven years but may be kept until Running A Household is sold, merged or no longer in business.

Comments: When you leave a comment on our website, we collect information you provide, such as your name, email address and website name so that we may reply to your comment.  Your e-mail will not be displayed when the comment posts.  Please be sure not to include any private information in the comment section, since this area will be displayed publicly, along with your name.

We review all comments and may categorize irrelevant comments or comments written by robots as SPAM.

Comments are listed under each article and kept as long as the article remains published.  Comments are run through the Askimet program, and if classified as SPAM, deleted after 17 days.

Social Media: We use Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+, and Twitter.  If you login to these services and connect with Running A Household, we may view the parts of your account profile which you have chosen to share.

Additional Information: From time to time, you may participate in our surveys.  Your responses to our questions will be collected and used to make business decisions.

 

Information Collection: What information do we collect when you use our website or subscribe to our email?

Computer, Mobile Device and Server Information:

When you browse RunningAHousehold.com we receive the Internet Protocol (IP) address of your computer, mobile device or server.  Depending on your settings, this may provide us with your location.

Amazon

As an Amazon Affiliate, our articles contain links to specific products.  If you click on a link, you will go directly to the Amazon website, which has its own Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy.

If you purchase the product, it will not cost you any additional money, but we may receive a percentage of the sales price as compensation.

Running A Household does not sell, share or give your email information to third parties.  We may disclose your personal information to our service providers with the intent of providing services to you.

Legal purposes: We may provide your personal information to a third-party, such as a lawyer, to enforce the terms of use of our website.  We may provide your information to a successor company in the event of a sale, merger or divesture.  We may disclose information in order to protect our legal rights or if we are required to do so by law.

RunningAHousehold.com is an HTTPS-encrypted website.  Our service provider uses a SHA-2 and 2048-bit encryption, the strongest on the market to keep information safe. Our service provider scans our website daily for malware, viruses, suspicious code and application vulnerabilities. Problems found during the scan are automatically removed.

Running A Household takes privacy protection very seriously.  Personal information that is stored with our third-party carriers is protected under their terms of use and privacy policies.  Running A Household makes every effort to do business with vendors who are certified or pending certification under the Privacy Shield Frameworks program.

Use of Cookies and Third Parties

RunningAHousehold.com uses cookies to determine the effectiveness of our website.  We also use a third-party tracking software to collect data which assists us in making improvements to our website.
