Do you have a birthday party coming up? Could you use a simple dessert for an event? Consider serving cupcakes.
Making Cupcakes
Cupcakes are very easy to make yourself. They are also simple to frost, and fun to decorate. The sky is the limit when it comes to creativity. Add a little bit of food coloring to the frosting and you can make just about any color you want. Or, opt to keep the frosting white, and add decorative toppings like sprinkles, candies, or colored sugar.
Not up to making cupcakes yourself? There are many cupcake shops opening up in cities across the country. They offer unique flavors, and decorative frosting.
Serving Cupcakes
Cupcakes are great for birthday parties or events. Since they are made in individual wrappers, there’s no need to cut, and they are easy to distribute.
Transporting Cupcakes
Cupcakes are simple to bring to an event. If you make your own, you can put them in a 9 x 13 pan and cover it with foil. There are also 9 x 13 containers sold with plastic lids, which make for easy transportation. If you make cupcakes often enough, you may want to consider investing in a cupcake carrier. These carriers are made especially for carrying cupcakes, and have handles built right into the lids.
Don’t have a birthday party or event coming up? That’s okay. Cupcakes are great for just about any day of the week. You can make them on a snow day, or to celebrate simple occasions like Valentine’s Day.
Happy baking! 🙂
