Finally, there’s a solution for cleaning your child’s favorite stuffed animal.  You know the one.  It goes everywhere your child goes.  Sometimes, these furry friends need a bath.  Cleaning them can also prove to be tricky if they have little attachments, or are made out of various non-washable parts and pieces.

The day finally came when I needed to do something about Teddy.  We were away from home, and Teddy was very dirty.  I needed something simple and quick.  Honestly, I can’t believe I didn’t read about it or think about it sooner: Baby Body Wash.

I used the generic, all-purpose hair and body wash for babies.  I wet a wash cloth, and poured a very small amount of the body wash onto the wash cloth.  Then I gently rubbed the wash cloth on Teddy.  Afterwards, I wet another clean wash cloth, and used it to remove any excess body wash from Teddy.  It worked like a charm, and Teddy has never smelled so good.  We towel dried him, and within a few hours, he air-dried nicely.

Important Tips

• The key is not to use a lot of body wash.  Just a little will do.
• Be sure not to use too much water.  This is important because you do not want to saturate the inside of the stuffed animal.  It may not dry properly and could get moldy.  By using a damp wash cloth, you’ll keep the water on the outside of the stuffed animal.
