Sometimes bad things happen.\u00a0 That was the case here in New England on Monday, April 15th<\/sup> at the Boston Marathon.\u00a0 Tragedies can be caused by people, or by nature.\u00a0 Lives can be lost in the blink of an eye.\u00a0 Why these things happen are unexplainable, and so unfair.<\/p>\n

As you are running your household, it is sometimes important to pause and reflect on life.\u00a0 Be sure to appreciate each and every day, as well as those around you.<\/p>\n

In the wake of a tragedy, people feel the need to do something to help.\u00a0 At Running A Household, we\u2019ve compiled a few thoughts on getting through difficult times.\u00a0 When tragedy strikes:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Say a prayer.<\/li>\n
  2. Make a donation to a charity.\u00a0 The Red Cross is one organization that helps people who experience a tragedy.<\/li>\n
  3. Volunteer in your community.\u00a0 Helping out can truly make a difference.<\/li>\n
  4. Provide a random act of kindness to a stranger.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    While doing these things will not bring back the loss of life, it can help those around you who are in need.<\/p>\n

    Our hearts ache for those who were killed or injured at the Boston Marathon.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude41<\/p>\n
