Easter is right around the corner, and we\u2019re here to help with ideas and a free printable budget. Let\u2019s take a look at how you can\u00a0fill your own Easter basket for under $15.<\/p>\n

Select an Easter Basket or Pail and Some Easter Grass<\/h2>\n

At Running A Household, we opted for a simple Easter pail which sells for $1. You can find this at your local Walmart or dollar store.<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll also want to pick up some grass to line the basket or pail.\u00a0 In addition to the standard green grass, you\u2019ll find that the grass comes in many different colors.\u00a0 We\u2019ve seen the following festive grass colors: peach, yellow, purple and even aqua blue.<\/p>\n

Select Easter Candy<\/h2>\n

Here are some ideas for selecting Easter candy:<\/p>\n

  1. Chocolate Easter Bunny<\/li>\n
  2. Peeps<\/li>\n
  3. Cotton Candy<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    A chocolate Easter Bunny is a must have for all Easter baskets. Peeps are a great addition to the basket.\u00a0 They come in large packages, and are relatively inexpensive.<\/p>\n

    \"MakeCotton candy is another one of those special treats that are cheap, but fill the Easter basket nicely.<\/p>\n

    Consider adding a few toys\u00a0to your Easter basket<\/h2>\n

    Toys and small gifts for an Easter basket vary according to the child\u2019s age. For younger children, a coloring book<\/strong> <\/em>and some washable markers<\/em> <\/strong>are great.\u00a0 For our basket, we added a package of Pokemon cards<\/strong> <\/em>and a mini-Lego toy<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 Other indoor toys might include Silly Putty<\/strong><\/em>, Play-doh<\/em><\/strong>, and an Easter\u00a0book<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 Since Easter is in the spring, bubbles<\/strong><\/em>, sidewalk chalk<\/strong><\/em>,\u00a0and a kite<\/em> <\/strong>are\u00a0also\u00a0possibilities.<\/p>\n
