If so, consider making your own place cards, so that guests know where to sit at the dinner table.<\/p>\n<h3>Project Supplies for Making Place Cards<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Paper (card stock)<\/li>\n<li>Scissors or small paper cutter<\/li>\n<li>Stickers or embellishments<\/li>\n<li>Marker or pen<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Step by Step Directions for Making Place Cards<\/h3>\n<p>For this project, we made place cards for our Easter dinner.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 1:<\/strong> Cut card stock\u00a0paper to size.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">For this example, we used a 12 x 12 piece of yellow card stock\u00a0scrapbook paper.\u00a0 Card stock is great to use for a place card because it\u2019s a little heavier than regular paper.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">We cut our paper into pieces that were 4 inches wide, by 3 inches tall.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><strong>Hint:<\/strong>\u00a0We used the Fiskars\u00a0personal trimmer to cut the paper. \u00a0It&#8217;s a handy tool to have, and can be found in the scrapbooking area of many craft stores.\u00a0 There&#8217;s even a ruler to help you measure the paper.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/runningahousehold.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/April-2013-025.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-456\" alt=\"Fiskars paper trimmer\" src=\"https:\/\/runningahousehold.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/April-2013-025-300x225.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/runningahousehold.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/April-2013-025-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/runningahousehold.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/April-2013-025-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/runningahousehold.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/April-2013-025-624x467.jpg 624w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 2:<\/strong> Fold the card in half, so it now measures 1.5 inches\u00a0x 4 inches.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 3:<\/strong> Next, add a design to your place card.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">We used cute little Easter egg stickers.\u00a0 You can also use a small punch with a special shape, like a butterfly or flower.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 4:<\/strong>\u00a0 Last, write the name on the place card.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Ours are hand-written in cursive writing, using a purple marker.\u00a0 Even if your writing isn&#8217;t perfect, it is a more personal touch than adding a label.<\/p>\n<p>Happy crafting! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">You may also enjoy the following articles:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/runningahousehold.com\/?p=1536\" target=\"_blank\">How to make your own greeting card<\/a><!--?xml:namespace prefix = \"o\" ns = \"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office\" \/--><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/runningahousehold.com\/?p=2828\" target=\"_blank\">Hosting Easter?
