Top\" src=\"https:\/\/runningahousehold.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Desk-Child-Top.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">In this example, we chose to leave the following items on top of the desk:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\n<li style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Bin for twistable crayons<\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">UConn Huskies Piggy Bank<\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Three drawer bin for markers<\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Laminated desk blotter with map of the U.S.<\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Crayon caddy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Now it&#8217;s time to find a place to store all of the other desk items.<\/p>\n<h3>Get It On The Wall<\/h3>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Use your wall space to display:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\n<li style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Certificates and awards (swimming lessons, kindergarten graduation)<\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Calendar<\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Pictures from sports teams (little league, soccer)<\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Pictures of family members<\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Child\u2019s art work<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Store Items In Bins \/ Baskets<\/h3>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Pens, pencils, and other supplies can go in bins or baskets inside of the desk.\u00a0 We have one bin for regular pencils.\u00a0 There is a second bin for colored pencils and a pencil sharpener.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/runningahousehold.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Desk-Child-Bin-for-Pencils.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2554\" alt=\"Desk Child - Bin for Pencils\" src=\"https:\/\/runningahousehold.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Desk-Child-Bin-for-Pencils.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">You can find great bins and baskets at the dollar stores.\u00a0 Or, when shopping for holiday gifts, select items that can be used again as storage containers.\u00a0 For example, we have a great sports themed pail that we received at Easter.\u00a0 We keep our painting supplies in it now.<\/p>\n<h3>Use Plastic Storage Unit For Markers<\/h3>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">A small plastic storage unit with three drawers is helpful when you have a lot of supplies.\u00a0 We use our unit for markers.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/runningahousehold.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Desk-Child-Label-Drawers-for-Markers.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2555\" alt=\"Desk Child - Markers\" src=\"https:\/\/runningahousehold.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Desk-Child-Markers.jpg\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Use Hanging Folders For Paper<\/h3>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Paper can also go inside one of the desk drawers.\u00a0 Consider using hanging files with labels.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/runningahousehold.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Desk-Child-File-folders.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2600\" alt=\"Desk Child -
