Are you prepared for a medical emergency at your home?\u00a0 A medical emergency can happen at any time, to anyone.\u00a0 You don\u2019t have to be elderly or chronically ill to\u00a0 encounter this issue.\u00a0 A medical crisis can occur with young children, teenagers, or middle-aged individuals.\u00a0Here are a few things to consider so that your household is prepared.<\/p>\n

Note:<\/strong> This information was compiled from my own personal experience.\u00a0 I\u2019m not a medical professional or a doctor.\u00a0 This is simply information for you to consider as you prepare your household for a potential medical emergency.<\/em><\/p>\n

Items\u00a0to Prepare for a Medical Emergency<\/h3>\n

1. First Aid Kit<\/strong> –\u00a0 It\u2019s always helpful to have a First Aid Kit in your home.\u00a0 It contains items like bandages, tape, and first aid cream.\u00a0 You can make your own kit, or purchase one from a store.\u00a0 Either way, it\u2019s great to have in your home.\u00a0 We also carry one in each car.<\/p>\n

2. Phone Numbers<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 If a medical emergency occurs, you\u2019ll want to have your phone numbers ready and easy to access.\u00a0 We post ours on the fridge, and they list our relatives, neighbors and friends, as well as important numbers we may need.\u00a0 Here is a blank printable phone number chart for you to use:<\/p>\n

3. \u00a0Medication Wallet Card<\/strong> \u2013 You will want to have a list of medications for each person in your household.\u00a0 Include the name, dosage, and time normally taken.<\/p>\n
