{"id":1263,"date":"2013-07-19T09:25:54","date_gmt":"2013-07-19T13:25:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/runningahousehold.com\/?p=1263"},"modified":"2013-07-14T22:47:15","modified_gmt":"2013-07-15T02:47:15","slug":"how-to-clean-a-stuffed-animal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/runningahousehold.com\/?p=1263","title":{"rendered":"How to Clean a Stuffed Animal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Finally, there\u2019s a solution for cleaning your child\u2019s favorite stuffed animal.\u00a0 You know the one.\u00a0 It goes everywhere your child goes.\u00a0 Sometimes, these furry friends need a bath.\u00a0 Cleaning them can also prove to be tricky if they have little attachments, or are made out of various non-washable parts and pieces.<\/p>\n<p>The day finally came when I needed to do something about Teddy.\u00a0 We were away from home, and Teddy was very dirty.\u00a0 I needed something simple and quick.\u00a0 Honestly, I can\u2019t believe I didn\u2019t read about it or think about it sooner: Baby Body Wash.<\/p>\n<p>I used the generic, all-purpose hair and body wash for babies.\u00a0 I wet a wash cloth, and poured a very small amount of the body wash onto the wash cloth.\u00a0 Then I gently rubbed the wash cloth on Teddy.\u00a0 Afterwards, I wet another clean wash cloth, and used it to remove any excess body wash from Teddy.\u00a0 It worked like a charm, and Teddy has never smelled so good.\u00a0 We towel dried him, and within a few hours, he air-dried nicely.<\/p>\n<p>Important Tips<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The key is not to use a lot of body wash.\u00a0 Just a little will do.<\/li>\n<li>Be sure not to use too much water.\u00a0 This is important because you do not want to saturate the inside of the stuffed animal.\u00a0 It may not dry properly and could get moldy.\u00a0 By using a damp wash cloth, you\u2019ll keep the water on the outside of the stuffed animal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Happy cleaning! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Finally, there\u2019s a solution for cleaning your child\u2019s favorite stuffed animal.\u00a0 You know the one.\u00a0 It goes everywhere your child goes.\u00a0 Sometimes, these furry friends need a bath.\u00a0 Cleaning them can also prove to be tricky if they have little attachments, or are made out of various non-washable parts and pieces.
