Daylight Savings Time: Change the batteries on your smoke detectors

On Sunday, March 14, 2021 at 2:00 a.m. we will push our clocks ahead by one hour to observe Daylight Savings Time.  It is also the time to replace the batteries in your smoke detectors, and make sure they are working.

No excuses.  Please change the batteries.  If you don’t have batteries on hand, please order them or add them to your shopping list. Even if you just changed the batteries in the Fall, please change them again.  And while you’re doing this, be sure to press the button and confirm the smoke alarms are working.

If you have a furnace or boiler, make sure you have carbon monoxide detectors in your home.  Change the batteries and test the alarms as well.

The life you safe could be your own.

Stay safe.
