Daylight Savings Time: Set clocks back one hour

This Sunday at 2:00 a.m. we will push our clocks back by one hour to observe Daylight Savings Time.  It is also the time to replace the batteries in your smoke detectors, and make sure they are working.

No excuses.  You have the rest of this week to buy as many 9 volt batteries as you need.  Just change them.  Even if you just changed them in the Spring, please change them again.  And while you’re at it, press the button and make sure the smoke alarms are working.

If you have a furnace or boiler, make sure you have carbon monoxide detectors in your home.  Change the batteries and test the alarms this weekend as well.

The life you safe could be your own.
